Our Laser treatment for nail fungus for toes or fingernails is painless, low cost and only takes 15 minutes.

Fungal nail infections usually affect your toenails, but you can get them on your fingernails, too. They usually start at the edge of the nail and often spread to the middle. The nail then becomes discoloured and lifts off. The nail becomes very brittle and pieces can break off. It often causes pain and swelling in the skin around the nail. The nail often becomes difficult to cut and can be a source of embarrassment.
Worse, it may be painful and make walking difficult.
If left untreated the toenail fungus may progress to more serious infections especially in people with diabetes or a suppressed immune system,
Laser treatment can give fast results at a low cost. Using a precisely directed laser we can eliminate the fungus without harming the surrounding nail tissue.

Laser treatment for nail fungus is painless and only takes 15 minutes. We treat both feet to ensure all fungal spores are eradicated.

Ways to prevent toenail fungus

Fungi thrive in warm moist environments, so it's important to keep your toenails short and as clean and dry as possible. Here are some tips:

  • Dry your feet and toes thoroughly after showering or bathing. You can use a hairdryer to dry your toes, use it on a low setting.
  • Always wear shoes in locker rooms, in public showers, and around public pools.
  • Whenever possible, wear socks that wick moisture from your feet; if your feet sweat a lot, change your socks a couple of times during the day.
  • Wear shoes that fit well and are made of breathable materials and do not wear the same pair every day.
  • Avoid tight-fitting socks and stockings, which can trap moisture between your toes.
  • Don't pick the skin around your toenails.
  • Use antifungal spray or powder in your shoes or on your feet.
  • Keep your pedicure instruments clean and disinfected, and if you use a pedicure salon, make sure your pedicurist does the same.
  • Don't try to cover up the infected toenail with nail polish. It will trap moisture and worsen the infection.
